Assignment 14- Usha Adhikari

Thanksgiving. Yum.
So much food.
Too much food.
Food. Food. Food.
Family. Family. Family.
Crying babies, screaming toddlers, and sassy pre-teens.
Ah the holidays. Don’t you just love them?

Thanksgiving used to be a huge holiday for my family, we would invite all our family over, and eat til our pant size changed. Then they all moved away, following wherever their jobs took them. Now, we don’t celebrate thanksgiving, in fact I can’t remember the last time I had turkey. This sounds sad, but I don’t really find it that sad, thanksgiving was just an excuse to get the family together and now that’s not possible, there really isn’t a need for it. Now we celebrate thanksgiving by scouring for the best “black Friday” deals that occur on Thursday. Merica. Nothing says Merica like saying we’re thankful for everything we have, only to go out and buy more things the next day.
