Assignment 14- Colton Warner

This Thanksgiving was different then normal for my family. Usually, we'll visit Cape Cod with my mom's side of the family and have dinner with family and friends at this small maritime center. The holiday always focuses around family whether I am up in Massachusetts or somewhere else. This time we went to Williamsburg, Virginia- think 800 people dressed up and acting like its the 1790's. At first I was skeptical, but it was actually really informative and interesting. Anyways, Thanksgiving day we walked around the town and spent time with family. For the actual dinner part, we went to this colonial tavern and had our meal. Before dinner we waited in this candlelit room and one of the actors came in and spoke about life in Williamsburg. (It really reminded me of Westworld in a creepy way, but I couldn't do whatever I wanted.) We spent the night talking about our years and family. I enjoyed it. I wouldn't say it is my favorite holiday, but I think it is one of the most important holidays because it's always good to reflect on what you are thankful for. One distinct memory I have of thanksgiving is when I got all of my food, and before I started eating, my milk spilled over all of my food and I was forced to eat some of the tarnished food before seconds.
