Assignment 14- Connor Haney

Basically all of my family traditions deal with the major holidays towards the end of each calendar year (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years). For each, we have family come to our house and we just hang out and do almost anything. On Thanksgiving, my mom and grandmother make a feast (however, other people still bring food/drinks), and when it's time to eat, the guys all sit in the living room to watch Thanksgiving Day football. On the other hand, the girls all sit in the dining room and talk about who knows what? Everyone leaves by about midnight, which leaves me and my parents to clean up everything which sucks. For Christmas, we kind of do the same thing, except when we wake up, we open gifts, and then at around noon, family starts coming over. Instead of cooking a feast, we normally cater somewhere (it varies each year) and some people still bring food/drinks. Towards the later part of the night, we open more gifts from the extended family and then after that, everyone leaves. For New Years, we normally have family over to hang out, where my dad either smokes food or makes wings. We hang out until the countdown, and then once that is over, the extended family leaves at around 12:30 am.
