Assignment 11 - Christian Lauritzen

The most important factor to consider in a zombie attack is the circumstances.  Is it a spreading disease?  Did all of the dead rise at once?  Also, where am I?  What am I doing?  Who am I with.  For the sake of argument, I'm going to assume it is a disease which has progressed to where say 90% of the population is infected.  I'm also going to assume that we heard about it on the news or something and we had a couple of hours, if not days, to prepare before it reached us.  The first thing I would do is take my dad's truck and drive to the local Meijer and grab every single unperishable food item and bottled water item I can, along with a thermal sleeping bag, flash light, and matches. Then go to the local Rite Aid and take every pain killer and general medicine I can find.  I would then go back to my house, grab my laptop, my family safe (which has a pistol and money in it), my personal rifle, my family, and then drive straight for Fort Knox, where I know there is military and a fortified facility.  From there I will put all of the medicine, my pistol, ammo, money, and other potentially valuable items to steal in the safe and wait it out until there are new developments.  Maybe a helicopter evacuation to a US Navy Fleet, World War Z style.
