My phone.
BEEP BEEP BEEP. It’s 5:30. My first attempt of waking up the
human doesn’t work. Oh well.
BEEP BEEP BEEP. It’s 6:15. The human rustles around in bed,
hits snooze and goes back to bed. I turn my timer on. TICK TICK TICK, nine minutes
later my alarm blares again, this time successful at waking the human up. By
6:25 I am scrolling through various social apps the human has downloaded.
Instagram. Snapchat. Twitter. Facebook. Bzzz. I go to the messages app and send
a couple messages the human has instructed me to send. I then display the
responses to these messages. By 6:40, I am playing a random playlist on Spotify
as the human gets ready for school. By 7:45, we are out the door. Throughout
the day, depending on the class and amount of class work, I scroll through
various social media apps, sending messages simultaneously. Some days I die at
school and the human brings me back to life and some days I have most of my energy
at the end of the school day. After 3:15, I scroll through more social media platforms,
until we reach home. I am left alone for a couple of hours until 10. Then I
scroll through more social media, messages, and occasionally Netflix. Depending
on the night, this happens until 12, sometimes 2.
Then I go to sleep and my days are repeated.
