Philip Allison Assignment 9

I don’t think that there is ever a time for war. I think that in this world of eight billion people, there should be one or two people capable of facilitating negotiations or a compromise for every single problem. If war occurs it is the lesser of two evils because negotiations should always occur, and should (hopefully) always succeed. If there isn’t one person on Earth who can successfully negotiate a treaty, then we need to fix political education system. Surely someone can be skilled enough to talk to two sides of an argument and help them work it out. War is never a responsibility. If you are so set on vengeance, negotiate financial compensations, not deaths. Negotiating would be more effective because in the end it will always be less expensive and will always save countless lives. Countries never know what they’re getting into when they declare war. They never realize how many lives will surely be lost, how much money will definitely be spent for the cause.
