Anakin Reese Conn- Assignment 2

Regarding the question of how my life would be different if I were born 20 years ago, I would say that it wouldn't have been very different from today, other than being less able to abuse the internet as you can today.  Sure, I would probably go outside more, and maybe read more books, but if I was only born 20 years ago, that would just mean I would've been born 4 years earlier, which isn't much of a difference, since that difference is just me writing this while in college.  I would have just as much exposure to today's technology as I do now, except with 4 more years of experience and the same amount of social interaction.
If I was growing up 20 years ago, maybe reaching the year 1996 at the age of 10, putting my birthday at 1986, things would be more noticeably different.  1986 was a year after the development of the first Windows operating system, meaning that as grow up during this time, computers would become more and more common, up to the point in 1996 when technology could start having an impact on my life.  I would've definitely interacted with people more, as technology wouldn't be an option for wasting time, so I would have to waste time with other people, or read books instead.
I would rather live in the present time period, as it seems that nothing much would be different, other than me having more experience and age.  Being older just means dying sooner, and I would rather live longer than fully realize to what extent technology has degraded social interaction.
