If I was growing up 20 years ago, maybe reaching the year 1996 at the age of 10, putting my birthday at 1986, things would be more noticeably different. 1986 was a year after the development of the first Windows operating system, meaning that as grow up during this time, computers would become more and more common, up to the point in 1996 when technology could start having an impact on my life. I would've definitely interacted with people more, as technology wouldn't be an option for wasting time, so I would have to waste time with other people, or read books instead.
I would rather live in the present time period, as it seems that nothing much would be different, other than me having more experience and age. Being older just means dying sooner, and I would rather live longer than fully realize to what extent technology has degraded social interaction.
