Watching TV is different for everyone. Some people watch it all the time and others never watch it. I'm sort of in the middle. There's times where all I do is watch random shows or movie on TV and other times where I never watch TV.
I believe that watching TV is a good form of entertainment, but others may think different. If there is nothing to do and you're stuck in your house all day, you can watch a good movie and be entertained for a little bit. Although you could go outside and do something active, sitting inside takes a lot less effort to do.
Every 10 minutes on TV you get a million ads and it annoys everyone. It's an easy way for advertisers to spread their product to more people and to convince the public to buy their product. They know the amount of people who watch TV, and by showing an ad about a product on a certain channel, some people might call about it and get it. This way, advertisers can get more profit.
Everyone has a different opinion about watching TV and the reasons we do. For me, watching TV is a good form of entertainment and it passes time.
