Assignment 7- Ben Lambert

On October 1, 1908, Henry Ford introduced the first car (Model T). This would prove to be one of the most significant advances in history. It was the first car that was available to a large portion of the population, and the first one that would commonly roam the roads. This was a good event in my opinion. Cars have been one of the most innovative yet convenient inventions of the last few hundred years. They have made transportation incredibly easier and more efficient. They have allowed for more urbanization of areas and allowed more professions to expand. Also, the bus came after this and provided the easy transportation of large amounts of people in cities. I definitely appreciate this event. Without cars, everyday tasks would be more difficult. I wouldn't be able to attend Henry Clay because I live 6 miles away. I wouldn't be able to hang out with my friends that live outside my neighborhood, which almost compromises my whole friend group. Cars have made all of this possible.
