Assignment 9: Charlotte Kessinger

I believe that there is a time for war but only under certain conditions. In order to stand up for what you believe, to protect yourself and your people and to accomplish something impossible with out war are a few reasons there is a time for war. I don't think that going to war should be a first choice however. War should only occur after every last resource has been used and only as a last resort. War isn't morally right, I don't think but simply just the lesser of the two evils. Humans are naturally selfish so wanting to stand up for their view and protect themselves is common and a lot of the time those are reasons for war. So from a humans point of view going to war is better than surrendering to the enemy and losing their power. War is a sad reality for many people around the world. Its dangerous for soldiers and citizens and has the power to change every single aspect of a persons life. However I sometimes countries feel the need to go to war. For example, if a country had help from another country during their war, the country may feel obligated to return the favor. I don't think their is an alternative to war. I think war will always be a reality of this world but there are definitely ways to solve problems before going to war they just may not be as effective or pleasing to all sides.
