Above is picture of the "miracle" baby, he was found in the rubble of Nepal's 2014 earthquake. In 2014, a 7.8 earthquake shook Nepal, one of the poorest third world countries in the world, and killed over 9,000 people. This picture served as a sign of hope among the people and reminded them that life will go on. Around this time, thousands of people, all around the word fled to Nepal to help with the crisis. I was born in Nepal and moved here 13 years ago, although I have never been back since, my entire extended family resides there. In the morning of the earthquake, the tension in our house was incredible. I don't recall sleeping at all that night, we stayed up all night trying to reach loved ones and make sure that they were okay and had means to stay safe throughout the hundreds of aftershocks. Thankfully, my entire family was safe, and we are very blessed to be able to say that. As for others they were not as fortunate. The earthquake has changed Nepal, and those that we lost on that day will forever remain in our hearts.
