I think it is sad that the Emmys are so popular and the Nobel Prize gets almost nothing, especially because the Nobel Prize shows intellectual achievements, while the Emmys are just a popularity contest, However when you consider human natures thirst for wanting to be a part of something larger than themselves it becomes apparent why the Emmys are so popular. It is much easier to relate to a small town girl who did standup in college and worked their way to being a big name in Hollywood, than it is to relate to what seams like a genius, talking about material that you have never even heard of.

Assignment 5: Dylan Ruddy
I watch TV so that I don't have to think about anything else as much. I commonly use it as background noise to do HW and such but only ever pa half attention to it. Also to say that I watch TV is a lie, I only watch Netflix because I don't like the commercials on TV. If I see something I wan to watch on TV, I find it on Netflix or on the movies collecting dust on a shelf and watch it so that I do not have to wait for commercials. The three shows I just finished Binge watching were Parks and Rec (for the third time), Chuck, and Bones.
