Henry macfarlan- assignment 9

Most violence in the world is unnecessary and only results in more violence, that being said, there are certain cases when violence is seemingly the only way to better the world or end a wrongdoing.  Following this same logic, war in almost every case can be avoided through diplomacy, and thus war is rarely justifiable, and mostly result in more humane suffering.  However, if a party is causing human suffering, and refuses to consider a diplomatic way to end it then war is appropriate.  Prior to world war II, for instance, diplomacy, and treaties, were thrown out the window when Hitler invaded poland in 1939.  Thus war was appropriate as he was causing human suffering and there was no other diplomatic option.  War and violence alike are only acceptable and justifiable when they are the last option.  War and violence must also be justified, invading a country for resources or land is not a justifiable reason to cause violence, start a war, and steele human lives.
