Assignment 7: Dylan Ruddy

On October 10, 1899, African-American inventor Issac R. Johnson patented the bicycle frame. I would have to say this was a relatively good and important invention. This is particularly important to me because when I was younger, I would bike almost everywhere simply because it gave me freedom to go wherever I wanted and it was a whole lot faster than walking.  This invention has effected multiple cities as we are able to see the widening of roads in order to accommodate bike lanes. I very much appreciate this event and realize that without it I would not be nearly as independent as I am now. This event may have not been a major battle, or the passing of an influential world leader, but it effects us all every day weather someone you know biked to school that day, or it was that guy who wouldn't let you pass because he was biking in the middle of the street.
