Assignment 26: Jackson Leach

This year in English prepared me well for the AP Lang exam. I think that it is hard to do any real content based studying for the exam so the best way to prepare is through practice. The repeated reading comprehension and essay analysis was good practice to get ready for the AP exam. I think that it was a hard yet manageable exam. It might be beneficial in the future to recommend practicing writing for two hours to prepare for the experience of writing for two hours, and to build up the stamina for it because I do feel like the quality of my essays was deteriorated due to the physical stress and hand cramps and such. The preparation for the sat and ACT also was good, same as the AP test. As is such, the only way to prepare for reading comprehension is through practice. One class I took in advance of the ACT was very good about teaching time management techniques for the reading comprehension section and I recommend teaching that to future students as it might be helpful. (how long to spend reading, bubbling, etc.) For the English section as well I think aside from a few small grammatical lessons the only way to prepare is through practice which we had lots of.
