Assignment 23: Sabrina Lozada

Personally I enjoy exploring foreign music, so my playlist is composed of some of my favorite foreign artists and is arranged in alphabetical order of the song.

Carmen- Stromae
Stromae is a belgian singer and song writer that released a series of songs in his latest album ,"Racine Carée", that criticizes society. His song "Carmen" focuses on social media and its detrimental effects on our society. He notes that people are so engrossed in social media that they forget about the world around them. As part of a generation that is constantly on social media, I chose this song.

Desjardins- Ingrid St. Pierre
St. Pierre is a French Canadian singer that I stumbled across while listening to Stromae. When I listen to her songs, it makes me think of a small café in Paris. I chose Desjardins because it’s the first song of hers that I listened to.

En Cambio no – Laura Pausini
Pausini is an italian singer that sings in more than one language. I remember singing along to this specific song after watching one of my favorite childhood telenovelas, En Nombre del Amor, which is why I chose this song of hers.

IncondicionalPrince Royce
Royce is an American artist widely known among the Hispanic community. He's had many great hits and his songs have the right beat for a good bachata. This is one of my favorite songs.

눈, 코, 입- Taeyang
Taeyang is a Korean singer. This song," Eyes, Nose, Lips" is the song everyone will sing along to. If you listen to any kind of Korean music you know this song. Even if you don't speak Korean you still hum and sing that chorus part.

O Sole Mio- Il Volo
Il Volo is an Italian trio that came to be after they were pieced together to sing a cover of "O Sole Mio". They  released many other songs. I chose this song because this song saw the birth of this amazing group.

Tokyo Girl- Perfume
This Japanese group is one of the top girl groups in Japan at the moment. They have very bright and energetic songs that are good to listen to as you do chores. This is their most recent song.
