Assignment 25: Claire Telfer

When I get stressed out, I usually start to mentally shut down. I reach a certain point when my stress is through the roof and the only thing I can do is something mindless, like sleep or watch TV. To avoid stress around this time of year, I make a list of all the things I need to do and start with the easiest ones. The more things I check off on my list, the less stressed out I am. To cope with the stress, I like to listen to music while I work or study to ease my mind. Also, when I feel overwhelmed, I like to take a break and do something that I enjoy like going to work out or being outside. Exercising always puts my mind in a different place and it makes it easier to come back home and do the work that I need to do. Overall, I'm not the best at dealing with stress, but mixing up what I do to cope with it always helps. As long as I don't procrastinate, I feel less stressed and it's easier to deal with my workload.
