The part of
junior year that influenced me the most was from January-April. During these
months, it was common that I would be playing out 3-4 gigs a week, and wouldn’t
even get to bed until 3 in the morning. It really gave a whole new meaning to
time management. There was a point in April where I would be out playing
somewhere on a weeknight, and I’d have to do my homework backstage or in a
booth cause that was the only time I would get. The other thing I am grateful
for is that it proved to me that this is what I want to do for the rest of my
life. Playing out so often just KILLED me physically, but I loved it. I was
literally living my dream. I’m just glad that I figured out how to keep my
grades up with such a rigorous schedule.
