Assignment 23: Dylan Ruddy

My taste in music is probably a lot different than many of yours, first off I don't like vocal parts because I find myself over analyzing the breathiness of the voices, the meaning of the words, and it is hard to study, or write notes when someone is saying words in your ear. Also for me a perfect playlist is not specific, but can be used at anytime. That being said since this is my playlist, it is for when I am not surrounded by others because it just wouldn't work. I also don't need much variation in my songs either to be happy with the playlist. Freshman year my entire music library was one song that I played on repeat thousand of times and could probably identify even if it was played over ten different songs. Because I like this song so much it will start off my playlist.

Romantic Flight by John Powell from How to Train your Dragon
I is a good first song because it starts of soft and crescendos to and apex. The tempo is slightly slow than other songs on my list, but thats okay because it is first and usually I am not that into the thing I am doing yet.
The Moon and The Super Hero by John Powell form Hancock
This has a very upbeat baseline that stays consistently fast throughout the song and has multiple parts that continue to layer upon one another until the end.
Unlocking the Mind by Samuel Bohn from The Theory of Everything
This song is upbeat and happy, but the tempo is much faster than the previous two songs which causes me to focus more.
Hearts of Courage by Thomas Bergersen
This song is very intense and my sister and I jokingly call it the song that never stops building. It is slightly more stressful than the other songs and further increases focus and that is why it is at the middle of my playlist.
Star Sky by Thomas Bergersen
This one also has a fast tempo and is much more intense
Illumination by Jennifer Thomas
This starts the closing as it is less intense than the others but still has some minor chords in it and maintains a relatively fast tempo
And my list closes with The Theme fro Schindler's List
This is much slower again but something about its melancholy tone gets me focused.

So there it is a short playlist for anytime I am alone and need to focus.
