Assignment 19- Caroline Couch

The one quite that has tuck with me has been "no pain no gain" I know it sounds silly but seriously my track coach says it all the time. My dad also says it when we are doing runs on vacation and I'm constantly complaining he says "Caroline no pain no gain" and its so stupid but so true so it shuts me up for the rest of the run. This quote might not mean anything but when your coach says that to you right before a big race it seems to have some big impact on you, when you're trying to reach your goal for the season it makes you appreciate all of the hard practices that makes you want to roll over and die. Plus an an old short guy yells "No pain no gain" you kind of laugh inside and say "screw it" I might as well finish the mile so I can go home and do homework an eat 5 tons of pasta. But as stereotypical as this quote is I've always loved it since I was in middle school when I thought I was cool when I would say it (because what middle schooler doesn't think they're cool.)
