I didn’t go to the movies at all over winter break except to
see rogue one, which I’m sure everyone else in the academy is writing about.
That being said, here is my review of Animal House.
I’m going to start off by saying that this is a poor choice as a movie to watch with your mom, especially with all the interjections about how this movie reminded her of both my dad and her college days. However, aside from that, I thought it was a funny movie. Jon Belushi definitely makes this movie. Everything else in the movie was relatively comedic, but I never actually brought myself to a laugh until he was involved. Blues Brothers is probably my favorite movie, so I already respected him in that sense. I also heard that in the scene where he downs a whole bottle of Jack Daniels, it a real bottle of Jack Daniels. That sounds absolutely absurd, but it’s also Jon Belushi.
