Assignment 1- Colton Warner

Hey, I'm Colton, and I thought I was Jewish until I was six. I am 16 and have a brother named Sloan, two parents, and a dog. Everyone in my family has the same initials (JSW) except for me.
My dog's name is Nauset, and unfortunately, I'm her least favorite in my family because I don't feed her at six in the morning. The good news is that my brother is going off to college this year so I can spend more time with her, and she can forget him forever.
I wear a silver ring on my middle finger because I went to this ranch camp in Wyoming for five summers- we did Rodeos and hung out with cowboys etc.. At the end of it, everyone gets one, so its not from some creepy cult my parents found online (CULTon). In other words, chill, it's not a cult or some purity ring.
My goal for the year is to learn and to get closer to knowing what I want to do with my life. Also, I want to go skydiving and get scuba-certified. My problem is that I have to be eighteen to go skydiving- what's up with that. I also have the feat of getting in some sort of swimming hole or natural water once every month this school year maybe except in winter.
Summer was pretty sweet this year. My favorite part was either canyoneering on a house boat in Lake Powell, Arizona with 15 great friends or finding this hidden swimming hole with three people in Zion National Park at Sunrise. It still feels like a dream to me. Also, I went floating in a sensory deprivation pod at Source on High- look it up (10/10 would recommend to a friend).
My superpower would be magic so I could summon things without moving.
Finally, I geek out to stand up comedy from Maria Bamford, doing puzzles, and looking through thousands of travel websites to plan trips and find sweet places to hopefully visit someday. I like adventure-journal.com because it inspires me to go backpacking more often.

Here's a picture of Nauset being a dawg.
