Assignment 3- Taylor Hodges

Absolute good and evil seems a little harsh, but I understand where that could be seen. If someone is viewed as an "absolute good person", then you would think that they have never done anything bad in their life, but that's wrong. At some point in that persons life, they might've lied about something, for example. That's not a good trait to have. This is the same for someone who is views as "absolute evil". This person could've helped a person out. That's not evil.
But, if you believe in Christianity, you were taught that God is "absolute good" and Satan is "absolute evil", but people don't talk about the past of God and Satan. In the Old Testament, God wasn't viewed as great as He is now. He commanded killings of nations and that's not a "good" decision. On the other hand, Satan wasn't always "evil". Before his fall from Heaven, he traveled back and forth, from Heaven to Earth, speaking to God and fulfilling his activities. That's not evil.
It's very hard for someone to be absolute good or evil because as humans, we are prone to make mistakes, but we also have sympathy and want to help.
